The Postgresql Upper function will transform a string into an upper cased version. You can also pass a column name and each value for that column will be upper cased in the result table. In this article, we will learn how to use Upper in Postgresql.

Now, navigate to
http://localhost:8081/ to access phpMyAdmin. Then log in with the username
root and pass

We will be using the sample db provided here: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/sakila/en/. However, we will only enter what we need rather than import the whole db.

To start, we can pass a string to the upper function to transform our string.
Often, we will want to transform a full column from our table. Let's use the upper function on the first_name column from our employee table.
